Greeting from the Chair

On behalf of the faculty members of the Department of Civil Engineering, Benha University, we welcome you to our website. This website provides information about our program objectives, curriculum, facilities, laboratories, and the faculty research and professional activities.

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1982 and the bachelor program offered has received accreditation from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt. The bachelor program prepares the students in all fields of Civil Engineering, including Structural, Geotechnical, Material engineering, Metallic construction, Concrete design, Highway and Traffic, Environmental, Irrigation engineering as well as Construction Management. Our 60 faculty members have earned their Ph.D.'s from the Top World Universities in U.S.A., U.K., Canada, Japan and Egypt. They are committed to offering high-quality education. They emphasize learning the effective use of technology, information resources, engineering tools, and aims to inspire leadership qualities, moral and ethical principles in our students to help them to develop a successful career and reach his or her full potential.

We have started our graduate program in 1987 We offer M.S. and Ph.D. in most of the Civil Engineering fields. Our graduate students have proved themselves to be well qualified to compete globally.
